Cleaning Standards
Seed lots arrive from origin with field material that must be removed: stems, stones, soil, foreign seeds and the occasional insect. Our cleaning lines at Newark and Long Beach combine aspiration, multi-deck screening, destoners, gravity separators and optical color sorters. Every cleaned lot is checked against the SIPF cleanliness specifications and our automated inspection system records the result. See Automated Quality Inspection.
Allergen Note
Sesame is a major food allergen under U.S. law and mustard is regulated as an allergen in several export markets. Sesame and mustard are processed on dedicated equipment with validated cleaning and documented changeovers. Allergen statements are available for every item.
